EBW Team April 2015 Challenge "Hardware"

Kris Empting-Obenland, the winner of our February Challenge, has chosen the theme for April 2015:

"Hardware"

Please enter your favorite hardware store and get at least one item of whatever inspires you and integrate it into your piece of beaded jewelry!  In case you're still snowed in, your private stock in your basement or garage might do just as well. ;-)

If you choose one single element of hardware it should be the main focal in your piece.  Alternatively you can use a random number of elements.  In any case please explain what you used in the description.

I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Note to team members: Work on this challenge may be started from today, February 18th.  The entry must be listed in your Etsy shop by April 5th.  Please check the challenge rules to see what details must be in your listing.  Have fun creating!

September Challenge Theme

The July EBW Challenge was won by kraftymax. Her prize, as always, is getting to choose our next Challenge Theme. Here is what she had to say about her theme:

Indian Summer Dream

First, I want to thank everyone who voted and supported me in the June challenge. I am still quite amazed at winning! So I have thought long and hard about the theme of the challenge that I get to choose. I had one that I thought was perfect, but then another would just pop into my head and ‘that’ one was the perfect one! Well EBW Members, here it is, the perfect one, Indian Summer Dream. I have always loved the fall and the changing of seasons, so let’s see how many seed beads it takes to create the perfect “Indian Summer Dream” for each of us!

The Challenge has been issued and doesn't it sound like something you'd like to try? What amazing creations are EBW members going to come up with? You'll want to be checking back here to see!

When I saw Beadwoman’s necklace at the Time Machine theme, I just loved the humour in it! That’s why I would like to choose HUMOUR for June’s challenge. Humour is international and it has several forms: intelligent, absurd, simple, plebeian etc. I would like to see many-many funny jewellery pieces! Let’s laugh heartily!

December Challenge Theme

Our last challenge winner was two winners who were tied so triz and SmadarsTreasure got together and jointly decided on the theme "Snow Queen".

Here is what triz has to say about it:

December is the month I associate with snow. Sadly I don't get to enjoy snow anymore, as I no longer live in Europe, but I miss waking up first thing in the morning and seeing white all around, the city tranformed into a magical land... and that land of course has a queen, the Snow Queen!

Thank you both for such a timely and inspiring theme.

We all have a busy time of year ahead of us so it's going to interesting to see what our EBW Team members come up with for this challenge! It's the last challenge of the year so if you haven't already participated this year, it's your last chance! Why not just DO IT!!

Rules:
Any style, any technique with a majority of beadweaving is welcome.
ONE only entry allowed per person.
The piece must be created between October 31th, 2008 and December 5th, 2008.

See our FAQ here for all of the details on the rules of our challenges.

So, if you've already finished your entry for the October's challenge (Ancestral Expressions - voting begins November 9th) then get beading on a wintery Snow Queen piece!
